Let's get started:

Part 1: Create a free Car Part Pro account

If you don't already have a Car Part Pro account, follow these steps:

1. Click here to visit Car Part Pro.
2. Click Sign Up.
3. The Create an Account page opens.
   • Enter your Email address
   • Create Password
   • Confirm Password
   • Enter a Security Question and Security Answer
     • If you ever forget your password in the future, part of the process of regaining it will be to answer this question. Examples of security questions are:
       • In what city did you meet your spouse?
       • What was the last name of your sixth-grade teacher?
       • In what city does your nearest sibling live?
4. Click Create Account.
5. Check your email. You will receive an email to the address you signed up with. When you get this email, click Activate Account.
6. Your browser opens to the Activate Account page.
   • Enter the Password you just created.
   • Enter your contact information.
   • Select your Business (Buyer) type and Company Name.
   • Review the Pricing Terms and Car-Part Pro User Agreement. To agree with the terms, check the checkbox.
7. Click Activate. Your account is now active, and you can begin searching for parts!
8. Recommended - Bookmark the site so you can find it later! (Press Ctrl + D on your keyboard, or click the star ★ icon in your browser's address bar.)
9. Recommended - The next best step is to create a Car Part Pro Search Profile so you can save your favorite filters (delivery days, part grade, etc.). Click here to visit our training page with more information about Creating Car Part Pro Search Profiles.

Part 2: iPro Messaging Software

With your free Car Part Pro account that you've just created, you are able to chat with suppliers via the Live Chat link in your search results.

But we recommend that you download the official iPro Messaging software to unlock these enhanced messaging features:

• Ability to send and receive photos with sellers (confirm fit and quality!)
• Chat with sellers, without a timeout
• Chat with other shops and insurance staff
• Saved chat history
• Easy access to iPro Tech Support

and it's free for shops!


To download the iPro Messaging Software, follow these steps on your desktop computer:

1. Go to Pro.Car-Part.com and log in to your Car Part Pro account (if you just made your account, you're probably already logged in!).
2. In the top right menu, hover over My Account and click Settings.
   
3. Click the Estimates tab.
4. Scroll down to the IPRO CLIENT section. Select the supported EMS or Estimating System that you use.
5. Click Install iPro Client.
   
6. Review the End User Licensing Agreement. Click Accept and Install to accept the agreement and install the software.
   
7. Open your download folder and locate the iPro installer named iProInstaller.exe. Double-click on that file to install.
   
   A comment prompt will display when the files are unpacked.
   
8. Windows may display a dialog to confirm that you want to run this file. Click Run.
   
9. Select a language.
   
10. Review the License Agreement. Check I Authorize Updates and then click I Agree to accept the License Agreement and authorize updates.
    
11. The software installer runs and shows progress. Depending on your system, you may see the following message. If you'd like to take advantage of all the iPro features including integration with your estimating system (so you can easily search for parts right from an estimate), please call Car-Part.com for assistance. Call 859-344-1925 (US) or 250-984-1444 (Canada) and ask for "iPro Support."
    
    If you're not ready for the estimating system integration, you can click OK to continue.
    
12. The installer automatically checks Windows user(s) that will get access to the iPro client software. You do not need to alter these settings. Click Setup.
    
13. Review the CPM End User License Agreement. Check I understand and accept the terms of this agreement and then click Continue to accept the terms.
    
14. Installation is complete. Click OK to finish setup and open the software.
    
15. The login screen opens. Ensure that your profile is selected, then click OK.
    
16. The iPro Messaging software opens.
    
    
    You can send and receive messages, including photos!
    
    When you're searching for parts on Car Part Pro, you can click "Live Chat" on any part to start a chat with the seller (and that chat will open here in your iPro Messaging software).
    

Part 3: Estimating System Integration

We strongly recommend that you take advantage of our integration with your estimating system.

It's FREE for shops!

With estimating system integration, you can:

• Launch a part search right from the estimate in Mitchell, CCC, or Audatex
• When you find parts, easily write back the part information to the estimate
• With assemblies, bridge the gap between estimate and the recycled parts market, with the assembly-optimized workflow
